Thank you to everyone who joined us in Savannah for this year’s Terminal Operating Practices Symposium (TOPS)! We were glad to see strong participation from terminal operators across the country, creating a productive setting for sharing lessons learned, operational insights, and practical approaches to improving safety and performance.
The peer-led sessions, along with opportunities to connect during the Welcome Reception and breaks, encouraged open discussion and helpful exchanges between colleagues. We appreciate everyone who contributed their time and experience to make this year’s symposium a valuable few days together, and we look forward to continuing these conversations in the new year.
Part One of the 2026 Safety Survey is now available for completion. The ILTA Safety Survey is a key component of our commitment to advancing safe and reliable terminal operations across the industry. Survey results help benchmark leading practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and determine recipients of the Safety Excellence Award.
Please review the reference worksheet before beginning, as all responses must be completed and submitted in one sitting.
Deadline: January 16, 2026
One submission per company
A follow-up survey covering 2025 OSHA statistics will be distributed in mid-January 2026 along with the Platinum Safety Award application.
