Through coalition work, formal comments, and member testimony, ILTA is pushing for a final rule that safeguards workers while allowing operational flexibility across diverse terminal environments.

Seeking Clarity on PFAS Liability: ILTA Meets with EPA

ILTA met with the EPA’s Office of Site Remediation Enforcement to urge a fair and practical approach to PFAS enforcement under CERCLA. Terminal operators, who used AFFF in compliance with safety regulations, should not be penalized for protecting lives and infrastructure with the tools available at the time.
